Today we continue our countdown to our Summer Show with another round of artists being featured at the show!
Using a sandblaster, Amy Davis etches onto drinkware and recycled glass using lots of different techniques. Her designs are sometimes elegant, sometimes quirky, but always a bit eccentric, like her! She loves to think that her pieces are out there sparking conversations and bringing smiles wherever they are. Monster Dance Designs is inspired by her daughter, Baby Danger, who happens to speak fluent Monster and has the moves to back it up.
Fisk & Fern is a little paper and household goods business out of Austin, TX owned and operated by illustrator and printmaker, Laura Fisk. Her products feature funny little creatures & nature drawings which she then hand-screenprints on a range of paper and household goods. There’s always some brightness, happiness, or silliness in whatever she’s making and she hopes to make people chuckle and smile.
Artists Kari Stringer & CeRee Hellums have a passion for all things vintage and a love of jewelry. They marry the two by hand-cutting shapes from old coffee, candy, and tobacco tins and fashioning them into one-of-a-kind wearable pieces of art using patinaed sterling silver chain, earwires, clasps, and stainless steel split rings to hold it all together. No two pieces are alike!
Jodi Hopper is the owner and sole artist for Art Genius. She is a first generation Texan. Jodi moved to Austin in 1997 from her birth town of Houston. Her love for life, color, and functionality are exhibited through various art forms. “I hope that you enjoy them as much as I love to create each and every piece!”
Jennie Claire is her childhood nickname and jewelry line. She likes to create inspired jewelry that will stand the test of time and events. Borrowing materials & flair from the past and marrying it with current aesthetics, Jennie Claire jewelry incorporates high-quality metals, gemstones, pearls, and glass beads. Vintage glass and Chanel beads, hand-dyed pearls, and precious metals are some of the extra-special elements that are incorporated into Jennie Claire pieces.
